Get Yours!

Talk about going and never having a chance to stop! Okay, I been running like a mad woman trying to get things together for my other blog because it's been forever and a day since I've updated it with a post. I been running around trying to meet some deadlines but hey things happen. I got some really funny scoops that I will reserve for my other blog!

Anyway, it's been a hectic year and when the New Year comes in I want to make sure I have everything together in tact like I wrote in my Promise Page section in the book I just can't put down. It's called Get Yours:The Girlfriend Guide To Getting What You Want And MORE by Amy Dubois Barnett. I have to say that is one AWESOME true to life book and that sister knows she has it all together but in no way was is easy GIRLFRIEND!

She writes as if she is telling a well known girlfriend something a lot of us dread to hear which is THE TRUTH! Sisters, no matter what color you are I really want you to get out there and get this book and I'm sure it will be your guide to a successful future! We can't do it alone and we all need that push and that motivation to go out there and get OURS!

What A Week!

Talk about a crazy week I had a crazy confrontation because I decided to change my musical taste and my own personal choices in life and style. I mean first of all I shouldn't have to explain myself to anyone. I mean it is MY life and I am an adult it's just that it's funny when people think they have the right to dictate your life.

PRESIDENT BARACK OBAMA!!!

YES WE CAN and YES WE DID!!! I know I voted early in the early vote and I'm not ashamed to admit I was bursting with pride when the results came in for the most watched and most turnout of voters election ever. Being that Florida is my home state and everybody had it's eyes on Florida I must say we turned it out and REPRESENTED. I am in awe at how many showed up to the polls and registered and even VOTED for the first time. I mean that is awesome on so many levels. I know it goes against many of the rules of Jehovah's Witnesses but this was groundbreaking because black males were forever told you can be anything BUT President. Many times they are told they will amount to NOTHING. Barack proved BOTH theories wrong so in your face doubters!

Study

Well I'm back in school studying to become a nurse so I can work in the hospital. I love healthcare and I love working with patients. I'm going to put my everything in this and I'm telling you I seen the high life and enjoyed it but working with patients is my thing. Hopefully my prayers will come through for me.
