Talk About Creative Inspiration!

I was just vibing when I had the assignment of designing the famous Google logo which was basically to recreate it in it's original form. That was cool but not the fun part! I thought about how the whole world Google and how great it would be to Google Your World and came up with the most awesome idea. I will upload the layout on this blog soon I was so excited and got to work that I forgot to upload it here and uploaded the layout in another blog I compose. I'm still going to add some things as it comes along but I just couldn't wait to show people the things you can create when you add a little imagination and creativeness to something so simple! I get inspired by just the most simple thing and once I get started it's difficult to stop for me at least. I also have to say that my idea for the Heat (Yes, I'm a Miami Heat Fan) is going to be something MAJOR so stay tuned for that....

Something To Think About...

I was reading an article where this writer was saying that celebrities should be shunned and they shouldn't be role models I mean this reporter was really going on about it as if they did something to him personally or he just has some anger issues or an unresolved vendetta. I was reading this and I first thought to myself okay so this is what's considered news? Or something that people should really consider as a deep well panned out thought? Then I thought about how many people would read it and go along with everything he says, at times they out number the independent thinkers and it's really mind boggling to say the least. Anyway, I thought I would share my view on the matter and see what people actually think.

I for one think that this columnist forgot that celebrities are human and are going to make mistakes. The difference is everything their doing is going to magnified it's like a fishbowl and everybody is watching. But the people following that closely to make such hard judgements remind me of the curious salivating cat just waiting for the moment to pounce and devour the fish in the bowl that's unaware of the danger lurking and starting right at it. I'm not the one to point fingers because that's not my place and I just want to ask writers that practice these tactics of criticizing and judging so harshly who gave them that position? I never read that in a reporters or columnist's' job description. But I guess the First Amendment and other laws protect them to do something so cowardly because we all know they would never tell the person or persons they're writing about their true feelings face to face.

I want you all to think before you are dying to read the article or blog entry whatever media you're using. Think about the source and consider all sides in the matter before you form an opinion. Also take into consideration if the shoe was on the other foot, how would you cope with that? Don't rush and say I wouldn't care because contrary to popular belief words does hurt! That is why I'm glad that many of them decide to get blogs and join in on other social media that's hot right now because many media outlets love to ignore press releases. They dismiss them as the celeb's people attempting damage control if it's a negative spun article. What's another reason why they would dismiss something valid or the truth? It chips away at the lies and kill their juicy story.

What sells? What keeps loyal subscribers these days? What causes a ratings bonanza?

Before you rush out to buy something that could be chopped full of B.S. is it really worth that money? Is it worth making sleazy people rich as they are defaming another person and at times putting labels on them that can never die down or be removed? Is it worth it?

Stressful Week!

Even though I'm psyched about my upcoming vacation I'm extremely stressed out! Why? Who knows but I just been really out of it and I had a feeling something was about to go bad because for almost a week I had things go almost completely wrong! All I ask for when I leave on my trip is just for peace and relaxation because I wouldn't wish this kind of stress on my worst enemy...

Or would I?!?!?

Either way I never thought I would get so angry that I would just explode in front of one my instructors. But someone actually pushed me to that point today and I just hope that on Monday when my classes resume I would be refreshed and back to being excited about the trip. One thing I also hate is people playing mind games and using manipulation to get what they want. I find that so disgusting and I just can't understand why people think it's okay to do that as if it's second nature. I find it vicious and really upsetting that anyone would think it's okay to stoop that low. If you can't get things the honest way, then why bother with it? We got to do what we got to do to survive to come out on top but to trade in your morale for something so minimal it's ridiculous.

I'm thinking about visiting my brother because I need to relax, my pounding head, feeling weak most of the time and anger that rises now and again when I think about what I went through it's just not healthy seriously not. I might take up kick boxing just to release the aggression. I know I'm going to need a full weekend rest for the trip coming up next week and maybe then I will feel back to myself because right now I'm just not myself.

Okay Random!

So I decided to do start on a completely different layout with of course featuring The Kardashian sisters something cool for DASH and just like that it hit me, while I was doing some pop art in class Friday, (An Andy Warhol type pic) why not also add a similar design with crazy effects? Then it hit me who will I feature on it? Of course I will do Beyonce then I will turn around and move to Selita Ebanks and Kimora. Once I get these projects off the ground and I haven't forgotten my niece who wants the Disney princesses graphic I'm sure to give her a big surprise with that as well! 

UPDATE!

Yes I did a complete update because my blog needed a make over STAT! So if you want to see here it is the new Selfie1982 blog look! It's been a long time coming and a change is going to come and boy has it came! I'm excited to reveal it for the first time in a long time! Hopefully people will appreciate the new appearance and enjoy the blog just as much as I enjoyed creating it a while back.

Congrats are in order for Mrs. Carter aka Beyonce Knowles for that FIERCE Vogue spread and I loved it so much I made it the theme to a layout I was working on for a friend that did me a huge favor by uploading some hot pictures of the DASH Divas the Kardashian Sisters for me. It's an idea for a layout you the reader won't believe. If you want to see samples of my work it's posted on the blog as well. I will be doing many more future projects and this time I'm really going to bring it because my readers and future clients deserve the best. Yeah you read that correct they deserve the BEST!

MORE NEWS!!!

As you all can see I added twitter as a widget here so you guys won't be all over the place lost about what the heck is she up to what's new or what's going on. I had my doubts at first and wasn't sure about having twitter but I got a feel of it and love it! But I have to say this, I really love the career I'm working towards in Graphic Design and I wouldn't have made it this far without the determination I had built up for years! I had some road blocks along the way but I didn't let it detour me from my goal. I had some negative people around but I separated myself from that and I decided what I wanted for myself and I got it. As you can see yes it's I'm the beginning stages but you have to admit not bad for a beginner.

Weekend Randomness!

Not Surprising is that Michael Jackson sold out in London in a matter of hours! Now if that's not having a reason to pimp walk around town with his swagger on point then I don't know what is. If anything I have to say that is truly a blessing and very great to see the King Of Pop back on his throne. Anyway, this weekend really is cool I have service tomorrow and it's back to the daily grind of courses studying and hanging out at South Beach. I wanted to do a major shopping trip but I just wasn't feeling it because I am not feeling it right now because I'm so tired from being out all night Friday night. I think I stayed up too late but hey who says there is a limit on having fun? 

I hit the mall and I see the cutest heels to go with the Christan Audgier outfit I got but I will be the talk of girls night out next weekend.

Update!

Been a while since I last posted but I did get a chance to catch Tyler Perry's film and it was great! As usual he brings a message with the laughter and Madea Goes To Jail is a must see.

I also have to say I love my classes I mean what I did with the Xmen project was so cool in my opinion! I just need to learn how to add animation and I think I will be a great Designer. I also scored some tickets to a symphony in Miami Beach this Thursday and I am very excited because I love Orchestras and finally I have a chance to see one live! I haven't been to one in a long time so it's a great moment for me and I can't wait!

I had some hot chocolate last night and I must say that relaxes me and that is the only heated drink I actually enjoy. I still don't like coffee it's just not for me; I thought I would outgrow that stage but guess not! Well I don't know if you've been paying attention to the news but the King Of Pop is back in full force kicking off his last tour in London This Is It! At the new O2 arena and it's the can't miss event of the Summer! I am contemplating over whether I should go but I might go anyway knowing me. I mean who knows what the future will bring?

Until then I just have been very focused on my classes and my work; how to improve it and things like that. I know many people who would have never thought I would be great in a career like this but they were wrong and for others to define my career path is really stupid because they really don't know me and to say I want to be babied or being lazy is stupid but then again look at the source.........
