My Goodness!!!

Okay people I had a great workout yesterday. Nothing too much I just needed to get some relaxation. The temperature dipped to 40° and in Miami that is cold. Now to most who get freezing temperatures you can say hey that's nothing but hey we're spoiled here we are used to sunshine and heat. I say bring back the dang heat I love the hot weather just not too hot.

I was browsing the net as I normally do and I was amused by the costumes some celebs picked for their Halloween parties. I will post the pics I found cute. I am also anticipating the sequel to Madagascar 2! Oh like you all don't like to move it.

Well I was reading and found out that my girl Ciara is back with a new LP Fantasy Ride then I hear that she and her manager split ways, many speculate it was due to loyalty issues because her former manager decided to feed information to popular Atlanta blogger Sandra Rose.

What also got me was the fact that so many stories on Sandra's site (that were unflattering if you ask me) were being released right after the singer announced the split in Billboard magazine. I find that suspect but to be fair there were few before and Sandra said that though Ciara is a friend of the site it wasn't fair not to dish on her when she dishes on other celebrities. So many stories that she created her own blogroll The Ciara Diaries.

To be fair, Sandra has said that it was a source close to Ciara but it wasn't her former manager. What is suspect again is that she went on about how loyal Ciara's former manager was and how the former manager kept Ciara's "image" clean cut. It's a case of he said/she said and the truth. Not like anybody would publically admit slander in my honest opinion. It's a reason why we bloggers use a play on words like sources close to the.... or well placed sources or Blind Items or people close to...

More news... singer El Debarge was sentenced yesterday for possesion of a controlled substance. Vibe had a very detailed article on the story of the family whose rise to fame came which came with a high price, a whole lot of pain. El's mother Etterlene Debarge chronicled the story in her touching book Other Side Of The Pain. Mama Debarge or Mama D as she is affectionately called tells about her family faith and perserverance through the struggles of Hollywood and her personal torment of being in an abusive relationship. She tells of her losing son Bobby the lead singer of the group Switch, her faith and how God can carry you through anything.

Also sister Bunny DeBarge has written her story called The Kept Ones. This book is also a MUST READ. An honest look at behind the scenes of Hollywood, her struggles and much more.

So before we people make harsh judgements I suggest people out there read and find out the truth. I think people will get a better picture of what real struggle is about and find strength and faith in numbers.

My Prayers For The Hudson Family!

I'm sure everyone is well aware of the tragic losses Jennifer Hudson's family had to endure with the deaths of her mother, brother, and nephew. I chose not to blog about the details because this is a time for grieving loss and in time healing. It's a process we know all too well so I send my heartfelt sympathy and prayers her way.

Now is not a time to point fingers and I'm deeply disgusted at some urban bloggers that felt it was necessary to do so. I'm also disgusted with those whoring the story to get ratings for TV viewers and hits for sites. Though Jennifer is a public figure she is owed the right to some privacy and respect just like any other person so respect that right.

Okay Strange!

Is it just me? I just want to know why is it that everytime I read the Scriptures find peace then BAM something happen. I don't know what it is but everytime I'm telling you it goes down like that. I don't understand it and I'm not trying to wrap my head around it because it might creep me out more. It's so crazy I don't get it.

Well I was reading different blogs and I found a new one that became a favorite. I like technology and the Arts so when I find it combined that's rare. Like with Kanye West Blog I can't help but stay interested due to the creativity and his honesty. I see a growing trend in blogging that I don't like particularly in Gossip Blogs but I will discuss that later on another post.

One Thing Is For Sure!

Whatever you're going through God will defintely fix it for you. No matter how minimal or extreme God will work out your problem(s). I thought peace would never find me because I was in distress and panic. God comes to the rescue everytime. I have to say whenever something is bothering you and life is becoming a challenge take to time to read Scripture itjust gives you a peace of mind that is just so wonderful. I can't begin to describe.

Not trying to override other's beliefs just stating what works for me. Whatever you find that gives you solice that doesn't include self harm or harming anyone else then by all means do so. We all have free will for a reason, how you chose to exercise that free will is totally up to you.

I was watching America's Funniest Home Videos and I haven't laughed that hard in a long time. I also was watching the old Monster movies being that Halloween is around the corner why not watch a scary movie or two. I miss dressing up I thought that was the most fun part! We had parties when I was growing up. Maybe next year I will go through the whole thing of dressing up all the decorating as long as it doesn't include spiderwebs. YUCK!

I went to the park yesterday and became a kid all over again. I got on a swing and had a blast. Many might say how juvenile that was but I love kid stuff. I was coloring with my goddaughter and had a blast 2 days straight. Hey, guess I really don't want to grow up.

Adorable Thursday!

First I would like to say a very nice hello to lurkers readers of the sort. Well, I was checking the mail and how cute was it that Huggies sent the cutest newborn pamper. I was indeed excited and can't wait to bring my bundle home. I can't wait to see the doctor because those appointments are very important and vital especially at this stage. Daddy is already excited about holding and caring for the baby.

Anyway, I was reading an interesting quote from Rev. Run that said to surround yourself around idealist. That saying is so true, it also stated to surround yourself around those that applaud your success. People who are forever negative is going to only bring you down readers. Take away all the haters and make a successful equation.

How to do that?

Divide your associates up
Subtract the distractors
Add the well wishers
Multiply the movers
By the common winning denominators while rounding off the nearest bitter odd number of doubters.

There will always be a fraction percentage of haters but....

Once you rid the negatives you are sure to equate a positive success.

BAD WEEK!

Hopefully the weekend will make up for it because this has been a wild but annoying week for me! Control issues are the tip of the iceberg when it comes to describing the drama I'm going through not to mention that I am battling depression. It's really tough when there is no support and people think it's just a phase that passes. After my mother's passing I thought I had better control but it's obvious that I lost that once I lost her. The best thing for me to do at this time is to just pray and continue to study the Bible which takes a lot of discipline on my part because when I'm upset I have to literally force myself to focus.

I have to update my blog I mean I haven't had time to in ages with everything breaking so rapidly but hey now that I have the time I might as well get to it because it's nobodies responsibility but mine. Who else can keep my blog up to date and relevant? Hello I am the only one that knows what direction I want it go and I have a specific style so entrusting others to the task would be beyond nerve wrecking! I have been thinking about adding some features but now I just have to do with what I got for now and hopefully wing it until the next update when something big breaks in the scene.

While I was upset during the week I did get a chance to catch up with my favorite show Kimora: Life In The Fast Lane and America's Next Top Model. I watch the Soup as often as I can but I laugh so hard at times it makes my head hurt. I don't think anything had me cracking up more than the John The Plummer PR Stunt that became a Youtube runaway hit though nobody mentioned much that the John that they had come Obama's way is NOT a registered voter if that is his real name and occupation. Oh well there are bigger fish to fry.

Anybody else catch when how nasty the divorce between Madonna and Guy is getting? Hey all divorces aren't so amicable no matter what status and like the Material has asked I will keep mum and give her family the privacy they need.

Now can I please comment on war of the blogs? Well Mediatakeout was in battle with Kim Kardashian and Raven well he said she said and the truth. Funny how they always surrender when they are the ones put on blast eh? Well I for one am glad the drama is over but like with everything when it comes to celebs and tabloids it's a love hate relationship that keeps up glued right? Speaking of Kim I hear that her man Reggie Bush was injured so here's to his recovery and I'm wishing him the best.

Well Katt Williams was hosting the BET Hip Hop awards but was replaced by T-Pain. Another replacement one that ACTUALLY took me by surprise was that of Terrence Howard. I mean he's RHODY how dare they replace my boo with Don Cheadle I mean that makes absolutely NO SENSE I'm expecting TERRENCE to REPRISE HIS ROLE in Iron Man 2. WTF PEOPLE GET IT TOGETHER MARVEL!!!!

Anyway folks I am off for now but hey hopefully like I said my week hopefully will be better by the weekend.

Windy Tuesday!

I had a great three day weekend because I finally got the rest that I badly needed. There is some news buzzing that I have to get to my other blogsite. Other than that leaving the office this afternoon I couldn't help but to notice not only the heat and construction going on around the building; but also how the wind picked up.

Anyway, I was just speaking with co-workers Friday about the financial dilema facing the US and then comes the break we needed. I was watching the Obama rally which was LIVE from Toledo, Ohio and I was impressed with his plan for America. Now am I the only one who tend to notice he keeps defending the Middle class? What about the poor? Well he does plan on creating more jobs so we can just sit back and watch.

I was watching the TODAY show this morning before heading to work and I must say seeing Al and Matt attempt the tight rope as if they were 200ft was quite amusing being that they weren't that high off the ground. Being that I had a good day I wish it was better because my sinus congestion is making me crabby.

What A Weekend!

Well talk about a wild weekend. I was spending time with the in-laws when my husband decided to cook while I decided to bake desert. Needless to say my banana pudding was a hit and hey who's to say I won't do it again?

Well I caught up on some Scripture reading and decided I have to become active in the ministry again. I really love sharing the word with people I sincerely do it makes me feel so humble and at ease. I feel I should earnestly seek God's purpose and he will open so many things up to me. Things that he already shown me that I overlooked I bet.

The Writer's Block!

Hey as you know we all need our form of Expression and feeling free. At my other blog I go by what's hot in Fasion and the Arts. I embrace my creative and humorous sides I have another where I express my political side but I won't get into that with this blog. Here is my writer's block!

I call it my writer's block because with this blog I plan to do a lot of freestyle not on any particular subject. Once my creativity takes over I have to unleash and express it so I will have more about day to day dealings and issues along with some poetry comedy etc. Sit back and enjoy what it's like to be Selfie.
